Training Programme 2010

Members of all abilities meet Thursday night every week at the Visitor Centre in Hamsterley Forest. As training runs usually depart at 7.00pm, you should aim to arrive before 6.45pm. Note that the forest and surrounding countryside have no lighting so in the darker months you will require a head torch. We have a concession to park adjacent to the visitor centre in the staff car park. Toilets are available nearby.

Please remember, you are responsible for paying the parking fee for access to the Forest, even on training nights. Failure to do so results in complaints and embarrassment to DFR Committee members. Reduced price, annual, season tickets, which give a very large saving, are available for DFR members from the Visitor Centre or from the Wood'n'Wheels shop nearby.

Training sessions for the coming weeks are set out below. Sessions typically last from 7-8.15pm plus some longer sessions which are stated as such. All are subject to change dependent upon weather and turnout.

Informal runs also take place at 9 am on most Sundays - except when a special run or a race is on the programme. They start from the main toilet block in the car park near the Visitor Centre. Also, check the web site for announcements before setting off for the Forest.
