One of the few races I did in 2004 and now, sitting down to put together a few words, nine months later I seem to remember it being as cold as usual but sunny with excellent conditions for running generally. I think we had quite a good turnout and recall Ken, Alison, Paul Kelly (running for Darlington then), Stuart, Gerry, Julia, Jane Greening and Peter Williamson all taking part. Yours truly had a steady run finishing mid-way down the field (my excuse on this occasion was that I hadn't been back long). The course was run anti-clockwise which very much seemed to suit Ken Maynard because he was first home for us.
